My oldest daughter and her family had dinner with us last night and our conversation almost always turns to music. She was talking about some of the stuff she used to listen to when she was in Jr. high/high school (she's 32 now) and these were some of her favorites...

OK, this is going to be hard to hear, but it's time to disown her. Like, forever.

Oh, I dunno. I kinda liked that teenage pop stuff back then. I think it was probably a way that she and I bonded during those crucial (and difficult) times betwixt a father and his daughter.

Nowadays, when I hear it, I can't help but smile. Because that was the one thing that got us through her chaotic teenage years. If anybody out there had teenage girls, you know what I mean.
