Picked up a very lightly used RIA tactical & need a couple of extra mags. This is my 1st 1911 so not really in the know yet, thats why the intro pistol to the 1911 word.

What are your sugestions?

Have seen 1911 kimber, wilson 1911 gov & wilson etm 45 ? on line:thanku:

GI mags. You can buy 5 of them for the price of a Wilson 47D. Use them for blasting, and go for a couple the Wilson's or CMC's for carry if it makes you feel better. I have several GI's that have hundreds of rounds each thru them and haven't had a failure. I also like them because the base doesn't hang 1/2 inch out of the bottom of the gun.

Almost any mag you buy will last a few hundred rounds. There's a reason why just about every decent 1911 builder or smith recommend Wilson, Tripp, or CMC mags.
