2 years ago, I thought the Tactical choke was the coolest thing to come on a shotgun, fast forward to now, I want something simple. I shoot everything out of the 870, which choke should I go for?
I tried looking for a cylinder and I couldn't find any. Would modified be my next choice? I still want to be able to shoot slugs.

Thanks.

I'd look for an improved cylinder choke tube for general buckshot, close bird hunting, and (non-sabot) slug shooting. If you want to also shoot birds or clay pigeons at longer ranges, you will want a modified and/or full choke tubes as well.

At one time, and probably still do, they sold a "Rem-kit" i think it was called. Came with a wrench, a Full choke (steel safe at that!), a Improved cyl., a small bottle of rem oil, and a handy case. Its what I bought. I gues they dont include a modified as thats what most the sporting shotguns they make come with. For me i run a mod. the most in my 28" barrel but generally the 18.5" chut down barrel is on it and i hunt with my BPS 20g.

It was called the Express upgrade kit. I bought one several years ago at wal-mart for about $30.
