Anyone know of a good source for striped AR lowers in the OKC area?
You can lowers online for &40-50, but if someone local has them at a competitive price, that’d be nice.
I’d like to get one of their polymer AR lowers, but it seems they’ve been out of stock for months. I emailed them a while back and they said they were moving their operation and hoped to be back later in the year.
Anyone have any better info?
Crimped primers probably would have helped, but if you google “primer in gas key”, you’ll see that while the problem is unusual it happens more often than you’d think.
True. I'll pay folks to fix stuff when I need to, but I prefer know what needs fixed before I have to rely on someone else's opinion.
Also, I didn't think about it until just now, but I was at the range to sight in my new Primary Arms 3x prism sight. After getting 'mortared' 30 times the...
There was a freaking primer lodged in the gas key!!! I was able to carefully drill out the middle of the primer, get a long screw into it and pull it out.
Who could have ever guessed that one? I appreciate you guys helping me brainstorm the problem.
ETA - in the original post I said the gas...
I may be zeroing in on the problem. I sorta took nighshade's suggestion. I stood the upper up and shot several drops of CLP down the gas tube. It ran down the gas tube into the barrel and left a nice little puddle on the paper. Next, I disassembled the bolt carrier group and filled the gas...
I have a DPMS 5.56 carbine that has been 100% reliable for many years. A couple of days ago I fired about 30 rounds and then it stopped extracting shells and the cases were stuck in the chamber. I had bang the butt on the bench while pulling the charging handle to get the cases out. Did this...
Gel tests on YouTube indicate that hollow points out of mouse guns won't expand, but the high velocity hp's, like stingers, do give better penetration.
I have a Generac GP7000E. Quality control from the factory was bad. The fuel shutoff valve was faulty and had be replaced before I could start the generator. It had low voltage and would never get above 112V (Generac said that was within spec and would not fix it).
Two months after the...
Many years ago when the SDA was new, my license was over due for issuance. I sent a letter to OSBI on my firm's letterhead threatening to file a writ unless they issued within ten days of the date of the letter. My license was issued within the time I specified. That was a lot less work than...
Just a nice matte finish like it came from the factory. I just want the little scratches taken out and shiny spots from holster wear to be matte again. I'm not looking for pimpy shiny nickel like finish.
It's my understanding that stainless revolvers can be bead blasted to restore their original finish. I've got a couple of stainless revolvers that I'd like freshened up. Are there any local shops that do that?
Anybody know of dealer in the OKC area that have the Kel-Tec PF-9 in stock? Price?
Thanks.

I got my Buckmark in 1987. [crap, I'v'e gotten old] I've shot thousands of rounds through it and have never needed to have it fixed or felt the need to buy another .22.
I went home at lunch and looked things over again. It turns out the mortise in the stock is exactly 1" wide and half round at the bottom. Therefore, I ought to be able to split a 1" dowel in half and epoxy that in place. With the dowel rod split, I should still be able to get at the stock screw...
