Ted's Cafe Escondido removes all firearm signage as of Saturday

On Friday, I sent a very nice email to Ted's after I saw their sign. I received the following response this morning:

Dear Bryan,

My name is Al Lejarzar. I am the Director of Operations of Ted’s Café Escondido. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to eloquently state your point of view on the new Oklahoma Gun Law. All guest feedback is very important to us at Ted’s.

Like you, I am a strong advocate of the 2nd Amendment and the rights that it allows our law abiding citizens. I am a lifetime gun owner and hold that right very dear.

Saturday morning, November 10th, all Ted’s Restaurants were instructed to remove the “Please No Open Carry” signs from our buildings. My sincere apologies for any discomfort or inconvenience these signs may have caused you and your associates.

Thank you. I hope to see you in Ted’s again soon.

Our efforts are working. The signs are coming down one by one. Sometimes all it takes is a calm, well reasoned approach.
