1000 rounds of 9mm as motivation

Yay! At thanksgiving my oldest son saw the bull barreled 6 inch target 1911 I'm putting together. He sent a text today saying 1000 rounds of 9mm is on its.way as motivation to finish the build. Gotta love thoughtful kids. I wonder if he is buttering me up to "barrow" the pistol. Ha ha.

Ha ha. That's exactly where it came from. Funny, when I called the Caspian folks to get a 6 inch slide the delivery was a really long time. Just in passing they mentioned they had a 6 inch slide with an Aristocrat rear site cut but knew I didn't know what that was and no one sells them any more. I told them i had one and would send a picture to prove it. The shipped the slide really quick. Not the luck I usually have.
