1911 mag opinions

Which brand mags does everyone prefer. As there any ones to watch out for.

I gotta stock up on all the 7 and 8 rounders I can before all you can get is 5 rounders.

Do you need the extended pad if you are using a Wilson mag well or will the standard pad on the 47d's work ok?

The stock pads work OK, but my carry 1911 doesn't have a magwell. I've yet to have an issue with stock 47D pads in my competition 1911, which does.
