I have with excellent documentation a Colt Combat Commander 1911 first manufactured in 1983 and then reworked by Jim Clark Sr. The pistol is pristine, and I have the deposit slip, addressed shipping box, original invoice with matching serial number, as well as a Clark service catalog with hand written note from Jim. Jim did this work at the height of his career, having just won the Pistolsmith of the year in 1985. This is a rare and hard to come by pistol for any collection.
I am starting the ask at insurance replacement value appraisal of $5000 (I have done every 24 months for my firearms replacement rider on my home owners insurance). I am willing to accept offers as I realize insurance appraisals can be subjective, but I will not give this jewel away either. I will not answer what your bottom dollar questions are as I honestly don't know, but will when I hear it. I am in Lexington.
Clark customs is still around, but they are not the same since Jim Sr. Passed in 2000. This is the guy who customized this gun.

I will not hold the item and will sell it to the first person who makes an acceptable offer, can set a concrete meet time, and shows up. After the exchange I will mark the item sold.
