I helped with a youth deer hunt last weekend. All 5 hunters harvested 1 doe each and 2 harvested a 2nd doe. It was a shorter hunt as they only hunted Friday evening and Saturday morning.
Sunday morning a young man that I invited to hunt on my place was able to connect with a doe. He was new to hunting last year and harvested a doe from the very same stand. The difference this year, he did it with his very own .308 he purchased with money he earned from mowing yards.

Yes sir. I was also informed he purchased a CVA muzzle loader and had been shooting it as well. I invited him to hunt out of a ground blind that I hope will give him a shot at a nice mature 8 point buck.
