Find some ammo for it, and shoot it before you trade it off. The 38 S&W is a soft shooter, you might like it, who knows. It is much softer than 9mm or .38 special/.357, in my opinion. The 38 S&W case is comparable to 9x19mm in size but has a slight rim.
