Is it this site? http://www.purpleberets.org/violence_ifacop.html Hiding from a problem doesn't make it go away. And I'm not afraid of what anyone here will say to me because I posted this link. I believe that police officers, in general, become officers because they WANT to do good. Sure some bad ones get in, but like we have established already that is true of any profession. I have my own opinions as to why DV in police families is so high that I'm not looking up links and studies for, because, quite frankly, I'm not here to debate or change anyone's mind. I'm just saying @dieseltech09 is right. It's out there and it's a real problem. I don't hate cops. I don't love cops. They are people just like the rest of us and people have flaws. Society, as a whole, is more accepting of violent behavior from EVERYONE ... everyone always has a good excuse for doing what they do and situations spiral out of control quickly. If you aren't the smart one in what is headed towards what could be a violent situation, you may or may not get your ass handed to you, but you will not walk away unscathed. That's just it in a nutshell.
