i ended up with a bunch of jacketed soft point and hollow point bullets. i shoot more 38 than 9 and thought what the heck. theu still measure inside of spec, .355-.356. i realize that accuracy will suffer some but at 20 yards it should be fine. anyone else try this and what was your experience?

I tried that with some LRN 9mm boolits when I ran out of the .357 that I normally load. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary. I needed to back off the expander to avoid having the bullet just fall into the case. Added a crimp and called it done. I used these for some plinking and they did well enough. I would probably do it again in the same situation. The 9mm were 147gr so weight wise they were in the right neighborhood for typical .38 loading.
