Rimmed or rimfire? I'm not aware of anybody making a rimfire (primer in the cartridge rim like a .22) 9mm unless it came from Europe about a hundred years ago. If the gun is that old you probably wouldn't want to shoot it even if you could find ammunition. If its 9mm center fire with a rim I remember that somebody - maybe Charter Arms - built a revolver that chambered a 9mm rimmed cartridge that was developed by Federal specifically for that pistol. Is that what you're talking about? I don't think that anybody's loaded that round commercially in at least 15 or 20 years. I understand that you can cut down .38 S&W (not .38 special) brass and load your own but that's probably the only way you can shoot one of those orphans. Moral of the story is to stay away from proprietary calibers.

you might look in the gun magazines a place called "the old western scrounger"
Fiocchi used to make it 20-30 years ago.

I've got an old winchester single shot and only shot 1 box thru it as they were awfully pricey shells.
