I saw a show about this where the did it with a HUGE colony in Africa, I think. Like the size of a house, or at least a small apartment. They didn't use aluminum, I can't remember what it was... but it was some kind of molten metal. It was awesome when they dug the thing out.

I saw the same one. I believe that they used Zinc.

Really cool idea. In jr. high metal shop, we poured aluminum into molds that we made.
