[QUOTE="magna19, post: 3078157, member: 24646"] Got a Ruger Blackhawk SS in 357 mag off Gunbroker couple months ago. Ran some factory Federal 357 158 gr. JSP through and found it not very accurate. Ran some handloads of Hornady 140 XTP, 158 XTP, Speer 140 with W296, 2400 and just didn’t get what I thought the gun should do. Ran a 90 deg cutter to square the barrel to cylinder and ended up at .007 cylinder gap. Recut and straightened the forcing cone with a 5 deg cutter then lap polished just a little. Ran some Hornady 140 XTP with 14.4 gr of 2400 and feel like I did some good. Shot several 5 and 6 shot groups today at 25 yds. around the one inch mark. This thing might be a shooter after all.
