Snooty mart should have some .40 S&W left after the morning rush. They had Tula 5.56 & 7.62x39, Win. .40, .45 and of course 7mm mag. and .30-06 when I left. The real early birds (you know who you are) scored 420 rd ammo cans of M855. I hate to think how early one has to get up to make the front of the line. I got there at 6:30 on the nose for a 7th place finish this morning.

If any of you FGST members run across some Winchester White Box .38 Special 130gr FMJ ammo during one of these WalMart runs, could you pick me up 100rds if possible. Should run around $40 for a 100rd box or maybe $50 for 2 50rd boxes, so I wouldd not want to pay more than that (I refuse to pay gouger prices). I need to take my dad out to let him shoot that Taurus I gave him, but .38 is the one caliber I am low on. I can pick it up at one of our luncheon's. Thanks.

Thought I'd post this for any of the new folks that might wander through and may think that the average (inflated) prices they see on the internet are "reasonable because of the shortage". These prices are all from purchases either I or friends have made in the past few months - copied from the receipts. Prices are per box/per round, prices in red are HD/HP rounds that shouldn't be considered in the "typical" prices for normal/range ammo but are included for comparison.

PPU .45 auto, 50 round boxes at WM on 67th at 8:00 this morning. Had quite a few when I was there.
For those who it may help - PX has .22 Win Mag, .38 Special, 7.62x51 CBC, and 5.56 Tula as well as a few others in stock this morning.
