Hauled this mower home that my Dad had. He claims it stopped running. Found a few issues with the electrical.

But the drive belt is loose and I'll have to pick the mower up so I can see what is going on. May just be off the idlers or spring has come off.

I forgot to grab the deck covers and battery. This is a 2016 model with Kohler 24 horse.

Finally got it running today. Put a new diaphragm fuel pump and chicom carb on. Waiting for new blades now. Took a one inch impact to bust the nuts loose on the old blades. Wife will be done mowing in half the time now.
Where are you finding the chicom carbs? The 18 hp Koehler on my log splitter got water in the bowl and it’s junk now.

Amazon. You can probably find one for your engine. This one looks just like the walbro that was on mine.

My mom has one of those Troy Built 50" mowers from 2007. The tractor is still going strong. The deck is about to fall apart though. Those Kohler motors just keep going if you take care of them.
I hope this one lasts for a long time. My dad will probably want it back now that I have it fixed. He just parked it and bought another mower. I had to figure out a few redneck fixes he did.

My 18hp was on a craftsman lawn tractor. After a couple years the welds on the tractor frame were breaking so I salvaged everything from it that’s usable and bought a zero turn bad boy.
Used the engine on the log splitter and the front wheels to build a rolling rack for the kayak.
