Is it open to anyone with a hunters safety permit? Are there benches out there?
Anyone every shoot at Okmulgee public shooting range? Dripping Springs?

Any etiquette to shooting at this range? I dont want hunters being mad that I am shooting and potentially scarring off their game.
I believe you need a hunting license to shoot there. There are 2 ranges, the first you come to is for handguns, just a little to the east is for rifles.
I want to check this range out also. Only closer range is Lexington and it's too crowded.
How crowded is it?
It's a nice place to shoot outdoors. Been there several times; bring your own targets. Never been there when it's crowded, but I go on weekdays. You do need a valid Oklahoma hunting license to shoot there. Every time I've been to that range a game warden has driven through - they've never stopped to check any hunting licenses, just eyeballed the shooters and drove on.
I shot there for years. Then all of the sudden they began checking for hunting license and riding tickets. Haven't been back and 10 years. It's a really nice range I spend a lot of good times there. Always worth the drive from Tulsa
