Anyone shoot tin stars bowling pin shoot?

Looking for any pointers and at least a general breakdown of rules.

I'm shooting a 1911 but do they divide the class based on optics versus no optics? I really don't want to shoot against red dot race guns with open sights.

Is it worth a 2 hour drive for those that have attended?

I'm just looking for something fun to do and hang out with like minded shooters.

it is a load of fun, but it has been a couple of years since I have participated. I bet it is a little more organized now, as it was in the beginning stages when I participated.
