I don’t beat my son but I have sure best his butt with a belt before. He knows how much I care. I am always around him and always tell him how much I love him and will always be there for him. And I know how much he loves me. We have always been really close. He don’t go out or hang out with anyone. Just his family. I know sometimes he gets upset because I’m hard on him with some things but I always tell him I could be like some parents and never talk to him or never be there. He usually backs off when I say that. I know kids usually have respect for someone that disciplines them and they don’t have any respect for people that don’t. My niece is the perfect example. I used to be the one to discipline her and my mom told me I was too hard on her so I said fine I won’t do it anymore. Everything I told them she would be like is coming into fruition. And I ain’t happy about it. All because my sitter and my parents wouldn’t discipline her. They still just let her do whatever and believe every word she says. It’s sad really. I thought they would learn from their mistakes they made with me and my sister but they didn’t. They are making worse mistakes. My parents raise her not my sister. But thankfully I leaned down my own mistakes and theirs. I ain’t a perfect parent or Christian but I try to be as good as I can. I would say being a Christian is the hardest thing to be in life followed by a parent.
