I never worked for AT&T in Oklahoma. I was with T-Mobile for my Oklahoma stint. They were building out their GSM/UMTS network there back in '09. Therefore I cannot say with any confidence what's going on in Oklahoma with AT&T. I can tell you this: GSM is dead. AT&T shut it off last December. It will soon follow for other carriers. And don't let some idiot kids in one store color your opinion about an entire network. Call customer service and complain. I have been to several AT&T stores where the employees are great. When I was with T-Mobile I would only deal with customer service because their store employees seemed only concerned with selling stuff. Understandable when you work on commission. My own house is in a dead spot. There's nothing any carrier can do about it. I live halfway down a steep hill so the signal just overshoots us. But there are things that can be done if you tell customer service. Each carrier has different solutions. Some can give you a signal booster and some can give you an IP BTS that works with your wifi. Just threaten to leave them if they can't give you a solution. Ask them if they have a Customer Retention specialist. They are the ones that can really get things done.
