I was still a police officer and worked nights. I was off, but still stayed up all night.

Started about 4am and lasted until about 7am.

It was crazy. Bands and even an eye formed over OKC out of the remnants of Hurricane Erin.

I thought my roof was going to come off.

It is kind of hard to tell, but this radar is basically all of Oklahoma. OKC is almost right in the center. Oklahoma County is the near perfect rectangle county in the center of the map.

The gif is too big to post here.

Information for the August 18-19, 2007 Remnants of Tropical Storm Erin Event

Here is a still. Notice the eye forming.

I remember that storm. We had moved back to the farm for a few years and this storm was the welcoming committee going back to the farm. It flooded Dover and Kingfisher again. That isn't saying much because it seems like every time someone wizzes out of their window Kingfisher and Dover flood. Turkey Creek and the Cimarron like to meet in Dover.
