I used to go deep sea fishing a couple times a year in the Gulf. Usually for tuna.

I have 2 Penn 7500 spinning reels on 13' rods.

Used them for shark fishing, off the beach.

Get some looks when I take them to the lake. Bait up for large catfish.

Bought them when K-Mart closed down. Sporting Goods manager was a friend. She kept them under the counter until I came in. At 80% off ($40), couldn't resist.

I only have 2 Daiwa reels. 1 baitcast and 1 2000 sized spinning reel. Both are excellent reels. That is a great looking reel.

My preference for baitcast is Ambassadors.

Technically “spincast” means the closed face push button type reel, like a zebco. This is a spinning reel. Sweet reel though!
