It's not an issue for government. It doesn't threaten the existence of those in power. Whereas, for example, an armed populace does.
Just keep an eye on perspectives, correlate what those in government do these days to what history has taught us, and the motives of those in government cannot be hidden.

News flash... The anti-gunners have been doing this for decades. Some time ago they were including people up to 25 as children. Nothing new here.
Excluding kids <1 and including 18 and 19 year-olds along with suicides definitely skews the numbers to say what they want it to say.
Weird, I was 19 carrying an M4 with an M203 grenade launcher on it. Would that be an acceptable thing for a child to do? Apparently it's okay when it's for Uncle Sam though right? Would they include me in the list of children victims of gun violence if it was from the Taliban? 
So, by their logic, we have child soldiers?
