Can someone tell me what this is?

Is it some sort of folding stock adapter? I've never seen a piece of gear like this.

I don't think it's a folder, looks like a spacer to allow sling mount.

I've been wrong before, once or twice maybe, but that's my $0.02!

OK... I thought it was a folder but I can't find anything like it online. Maybe an earlier version...the rifle's about 10 years old.

The end plate looks like it's almost one piece with the castle nut. And there are no notches that I can see that would allow the end plate to be staked into the castle nut.

The hole for the swivel is on the bottom facing the rear, unless it's a weird stock.

Folders have the end plate and nut on the back, not on the front.

Further inspection of the pic it looks like sling point on the side where the arrow is.

Loooks like a single point sling adapter. GG&G makes one like that.

I have one similar that i got in a bulk misc buy but it has a slot in the side for a sling and it goes infront of the castle nut not behind it
