I don't know whether this has been asked before. I checked and couldn't find it. Does anyone know the statistics on CCP holders committing crimes. Particularly those that would get the permit removed or disallowed?

Thanks for your reply. It did help alot. Basically it's what I thought. CCP holders don't commit many crimes. It's not a gunfight out there with holders.

Last time played with the numbers it was considerably less than 1% of permits revoked for cause.
In 2008 there were 4 revocations with 18,510 permits issued.
Pretty darn good record nd one that needs wider publication.

Dave Kopel at www.davekopel.com has published some articles using research from several states on CCP holders commiting crimes. If I remember correctly it is about half the % of the rest of the population. Look for an article about Gun Free School Zones. (I may have it saved on my computer.) That article sited stats from several states.
