Wonder where this is going?

[The toll of excessive drinking works out to about $2 per drink, in terms of medical expenses and other costs to society, according to a new federal research.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention study calculated societal costs from binge and heavy drinking beyond what consumers pay at the bar or liquor store. It’s the first such federal estimate in more than a dozen years.]

Get ready for Liquor taxes to go up.

Don't worry though, they'll use the money for all kinds of stop drinking programs and advertisements.

The CDC needs to STFU and stay in it's lane. I fail to see how alcohol is a "disease" that needs to be controlled. Not everyone who ever takes a drink is an alcoholic that needs to be "saved" by these pious ninnies!

Alcohol is a killer. Just like black guns and big clips.
