Actually if your total cholesterol is below 250 your good, some of the new scales say 200 but I suspect they are pushing pills. Looks like your HDL to LDL ratio is OK (your HDL should be approx 1/3rd of your LDL) but Im only going off what my Dr's have shown and told me. I took Pravastatin for years and ended up with so little total cholesterol <100 total, so low they couldnt measure my HDL. My joints became dry and I ended up with a devastating spinal cord injuries and my entire left leg went into a cramp and my right foot dropped! I had tried to stay fit my entire life but a Dr. prescribed the Pravastatin when I was in my Fourty's and was on the road and lived out of my pickup for days on end sometimes. I quit taking the Statin after researching it and found out that your are 70X times more likely to have what happened to me happen than if you dont take Statins. Nobody ever mentioned that not one time in 15 years of taking it. Now after 15 yrs of not taking any cholesterol pills and watching my diet better and probably the not consuming as many ribeyes and massive quantities of beer very often my cholesterol has been fine. Ive had to have 5 lumber L4,L5, S1, L3 and have two disk in my neck that need repaired. My L5 and S1 have been worked on twice. Most of these cholesterol meds are pretty rough on the liver, so be sure to keep a eye on the liver function blood work.
