My biggest problem is being hypoglycemic. My cholesterol numbers are 3LDL to 1HDL, with a total around 220 without meds. When I was on atorvastatin, LDL was under 100 and HDL was way too low. Since I quit taking the atorvastatin, I feel much more energetic, have some sex drive where I had none on the statin, and have had little trouble controlling my weight. I take CoQ-10 as well to help by cells absorb the goodies that the LDL brings around. There is no one set of numbers that works for everyone. I do have a lot of arterial sclerosis throughout by body, but I believe it hasn't gotten any worse in the last several years. It started for me when I was in my 40's, and had my first heart attack at 49, with triple bypass at 50. I believe I inherited my plumbing woes from my folks, too much smoking, and a lot of stress. I eat nothing artificial, no MSG, nothing diet, and I do have 3 home cooked meals a day. That has made a lot of difference for me. My biggest meal is breakfast, a light lunch, and supper consists of dessert. It's mostly what I crave and it satisfies me. I feel no urge to overeat. Now, if I could only find a way to shrink my prostate ... :anyone: Woody
