I am competing with an SP-01 Shadow now and wanted to see if anyone had any advice on what parts to keep in my range bag in case of failure. I had extra stuff for my XD but have no idea what to look for in this CZ.

keep a glock in it.

lol!

Seriously, I always try to have a backup gun when I shoot a match.
even a local match.
Last year I had 2 M&P40s that were pretty much interchangable,
and now I run that STI and keep one of the M&P40s in my truck just in case.

Parts break, its a fact of life, but it sucks missing a walk-though because youre knee deep in gun parts at the safety area.

Antichrome runs a SP-01 sometimes, He will probably chime in.

Chiming in;-)

You've already gotten most of the answers.
Slide stop is the most often broken piece, and they're on backorder at ghostholster.
Trigger springs used to be fragile, that seems to be a thing of the past.
I understand that most people change them every 10k-12k or once a year.
I havent changed mine yet, and I've shot and dry fired well over 12k.
Recoil spring and mainspring tend to get soft...but maybe that because I use the 10lb recoil spring. People have said the mainspring gets too soft to light non fed primers. I havent had that issue.
They like to be run juicy, lots of oil. Mobil 1.

Mags need to be kept clean clean clean.
Mag springs get soft fast.
I'm experimenting with +5% and +10% springs now.

I just got some extended mag pads from Angus.
Not an issue for Production and prob not worth the $, they add 2 rounds to SP01 mags.
It'll be fun to play some Limited Minor with 21+1.

See ya at the RO class tomorrow?

Thanks Robert. I called the custom shop today and they had a cz spare parts kit with 6 plastic mag bases, which I needed, and some extractors, slide stops and springs all in the kit. It was cheaper to buy the kit with 3 of each item than the single parts so I got one ordered and he had it in stock. See you in the morning. We are going to start driving at 4:30 to get there on time.
