Mr. corneileous, I really am not sure what you're trying to say. You say, "I know they can’t tell other states what to do and what not do." But then you say, "I just simply stated that Oklahoma doesn’t have to completely jump through their hoops." It's not a case of Oklahoma jumping through their hoops, although it MAY be a case of Oklahoma residents jumping through their hoops if you want to carry in their state. Oklahoma just passes its own laws, and other states decide whether to reciprocate based on THEIR laws. Do you mean the state of Oklahoma passing laws that will comply with other states laws so they'll reciprocate? If that's what you mean, then the reason Oklahoma has to jump through their hoops is because that is what you have to do to comply with their laws. They are the only one who pass their laws, and can decide if they want to reciprocate or not. Just the same as if Oklahoma decides not to reciprocate with a state that knowingly issues permits to terrorists, we can decide that and they have no say. And you say, "Oklahoma lets legally qualified people to carry HERE free from charge so why can’t they convey that same respect for carrying to another state??" Because again, Oklahoma cannot convey ANYTHING to any other state as far as who can carry in their state. If you are in their state, you legally carry according to their laws and Oklahoma has nothing to do with it. But maybe I am still misunderstanding you. I'll admit, I'm a little confused.
