I respectfully disagree but that’s just me. A lot of states that still require their residents to keep a permit, don’t even charge that much; and they have to have one to carry at all so they could come down in cost. I know there’s expense involved in the whole process but to charge more for a longer duration?? C’mon... there’s no need for that. At least I don’t think so. If the training was a lot more than it actually was, I’d agree with you on that part but since it isn’t, so what if it shows I’ve had training....lol. Sure, it appeases the other states we have reciprocity with. But as far as whenever you get pulled over- if I read it and comprehended it correctly, we’re no longer required to have the duty to inform unless the officer specifically asks you if you’re armed. I can’t say I blame you, there. If I had to renew my permit right now like you did, I would’ve just went ahead and bought another infringing 5 years but since I’ve got plenty time for them to get this all ironed out, I’ll just play the waiting game. That’s still a lot of money for most folks. Especially when now, it’s just primarily for freedom to carry outside of the state unless it’s a state that has “permitless” carry as well and accepts our state ID as our permit. But they don’t have to charge as much for it. I’m just sayin’. I don’t know what it costs either but I highly doubt it’s anywhere near what they charge. But yeah, I bet the number of permit processes goes way down. Like I said long before, I guarandamntee you they’re going to be doing a whole lot less permits. I can respect that and as the more and more less liberties come about from not having to pay for your rights, I’ll probably continue doing the same. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
