I am opposed to the militarization of federal agencies. They should use existing law enforcement capabilities.

But there are dangerous situations encountered on land managed by the U.S. Forest Service and in the course of investigating fraud in the food stamp program. Be careful who you call dumb without first getting the big picture.

Yup, like most other federal agencies, the law enforcement division (usually the Office of the Inspector General) of the Dep of Ag goes back well into the 1970's. They have cops. Cops carry stuff that goes bang....
