- Ukrainian troops are being trained in Poland and the UK on Western type military hardware. This has been an ongoing thing for several months, and was one of the sticking points about sending advanced weapon platforms to Ukraine because they (Ukrainians) didn't have the proper training to use them effectively. - Zelenskyy is no better, nor worse, than any other 'stan' leader when it comes to human rights violations but compared to 'Mother' Russia, Ukraine is more tolerable. - Some people think that we physically gave Zelenskyy billions of dollars in cash money. What we, and other countries have done is supply Ukraine with billions of dollars worth of older (and in some cases obsolete) weapon systems and ordnance which allows the purchase of newer, upgraded systems. - Your tax dollars did NOT go to buy weapons systems for Ukraine, but instead to buy new upgraded weapon systems for ourselves to replace the older (and in some cases, obsolete) stuff we gave away. It's a win-win situation. We help support, what most of the world sees as an invasion by Russia into a sovereign country and we get to upgrade our own military hardware, which we needed to do anyway. - When comparing the amount of help the United States provides versus that of other countries, you have to factor it on the countries GDP rather than on the dollar amount itself. For example in the US with a GDP of $23+ Trillion, $100B is a drop in the bucket when compared to Finland GDP of $297+ Billion where $100B is a comparatively large amount of money.
