I have no doubt this is a true story. When I was around 10 or so my brother and I were spending the summer in Louisiana with my grandparents. Back then dinner was either raised by them or shot by them. I went out with my grandpa to hunt rabbit for dinner. We had already bagged a couple (stocking up) when my grandpa levels his .410 and pulls the trigger. As his personal retriever, I ran over to pick up dinner. I looked that rabbit up and down all the way back to the house and not one wound could be found. Even after it was cleaned and prepared for dinner. I have always gotten pleasure from relaying the time my grandpa scared a rabbit to death.
