Does anybody know where baby rabbits come from?

Okay, stop laughing.

There is a large pot on our patio, that has been just potting soil all winter. It's about two feet across and about 20 high. A couple of weeks ago, there was a hole that had been dug and neither of us had done it.

Just know, lovely bride was planting things, and put her little tool into the dirt in that pot and immediately heard a little wimper.

Any thoughts (yeah, I know what you are wanting to say)

Seriously, do wild rabbits bury their young for some period of time? There was a rabbit that seemed to be camping under some azaleas in the front yard.

Now lovely bride is afraid she has murdered baby thumper.

no, they don't bury them. they dig a tunnel, small burrow, and have them there, the burrow will be somewhat lined with momma's fur. the female will return to the burrow during the morning and early evening, squat over it and feed the young. the young are mobile in just a few days and sooner than you think possible are off hiding in deep grass
