Sad deal for sure. I treat my dogs like humans with the utmost love actually more sometimes than some humans deserve. But the dog or cat or other animal gets hurt that is tough crap. You will need to either heal on your own or not heal..Not spending money on an animal. Yes you will get your parvo shots and worming and rabies but any surgery.. forget it. I have gone through that 2 times and not ever happening again. Dog may die and that is the way it is. Sounds harsh I know. I had a Fila mastiff that got hit by a truck. sounded like a car crash. My dog was laying in the street and the 80 chevy truck was in the middle of the street stopped and I got over there and hollared at my dog Get your butt in the back yard the dog made it to the gate and fell over which was about 80 feet from the wreck. She laid on her side for 2 weeks and did not poop for 7 days but she got better and walked fine. Live or die. Sounds mean. Know what is worse Wife took her to the vet when she was 5 months old and they had a new drug for heartworms that you give to the dog 1 time every 6 months. I thought that chemical stays in your system that long it can't be good and i blame that for shutting down the dog in a short 4 years. She went blind and her liver shut down in 4 years. I blame doctors and chemicals for that. No more doctors for my dogs.
