They are that small group of homeless looking outside, smoking. Wif will venture into DG, almost weekly. Being a small community and 30 miles from a population center, the DG can make a difference between doing without or not. This store has been here 20+ years. They built a new store and made it market, but the store is always junky, cluttered and dirty. The "emplyees" are a total waste. Last year, Family/Dollar Tree built a store. If I have a need, I go there first. Clean, organized, friendly. They have been great for rural communities, but many of their employees or severely lacking. I would think having the possibility of employment would be somewhat of an incentive to perform, but evidently not. The long hours, overworked, underpaid manager, is very true. Oldest son worked for DG, as manager, 20 years ago. At that time, the attitude was "if you don't like it, there are 100 waiting for your job." The last 3 managers here, were moved here from other locations. Locals don't want the job. They make more on Obammy money.
