No, I have a couple that are painted with Cerakote and like it. I'm going to be painting my new AR myself this timeand would just like to try Duracoat. I will be using a hvlp gun and not the aerosol can.

I've done a few with the bake on aerosol, unless you like the perfect look, I loved how mine came out after a few trips taking out for some rounds, I'm a fan of the worn in look

Norrell's moly resin is pretty good. You use a cheap hobby airbrush and spray it on your pre heated parts and bake it in the oven. ive used it on everything and it holds up well. I have been able to match aluminum parts to parkerized steel, and copy hk finishes. http://www.johnnorrellarms.com

I've done a fair amount of spray on finishes and I really prefer the Duracoat to anything else for what I do. I dont know anybody that sells it locally, I just order all of mine. I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
