i've been observing eagles for about 8 years now. they are opportunistic diners, they have virtually no sense of smell and a super acidic digestive system. their digestive system will actually absorb lead and many die within a few days from ingesting lead from gut piles etc. i find it absolutely fascinating how devoted a bonded pair are to their nest, each other, and the young they raise. primarily their preferred diet is fish, they are fish eagles, but will eat anything that can't eat them. and they will eat it all, bones, fur, guts, it's fuel and they need the energy
It was really a joke. You see them all the time in pics and videos catching fish or other majestic **** and this one is hanging around in my backyard eating the north end out of this south facing pig I shot 2 days ago.
