Good points. My main point was that in some situations EVs suck less than liberals.:laugh6: I'm not exactly sure how the Tesla app figures it has saved $1861 in gas. In my area of AZ, regular is $4.50 a gallon, so that would be $2097 for 466 gallons. We charge at night when electricity is cheapest at $0.069/kWh. Superchargers are the only way to do a trip, but I bet they'd cost more than gasoline. The only way to save money with our EV is to charge it at home. As of today, non-rounded numbers are 13,532 miles on 4253 kWh. If all that was charged at home, it would have cost $293 (4253 x 0.069). Supposing $2097 for a theoretical ICE car like a Toyota Camry minus $293 would be $1804 saved. Maybe the Tesla app is comparing itself to an ICE car that can go from 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds and hit 100 in about 4 seconds more :woohoo1: I agree everything and everybody should compete on their own merits. Government should stay out!!
