That being said, every gun that I have needed to be transferred has happened through SSP, I picked up one gun from them about a month ago and I have a bundle of 4 guns coming any day now.
As a rule of thumb, no matter which FFL you use, make sure to check the contents of your order to make sure it is complete, has no dents, dings, missing contents etc. BEFORE YOU COMPLETE THE TRANSFER. Once you take ownership of the gun you have to work through the manufacturer of the weapon, instead of the company you bought the product from to correct anything unsatisfactory. (Please don't construe this as FFL's messing up people's orders, these problems can and DO come from the factory sometimes)
