I had a CW9 and have a PM9. The CW9 is more comparable to the P9, and here's a link for the differences. The PM9 is a smaller version of the P9. I found the PM to be more accurate than the CW, despite its shorter barrel. It's an easy shooter, but has a lot of muzzle flash and follow up shots are a little slower since the smaller grip leads to a little more muzzle climb. Some of the older ones were plagued with peening where the slide meets the breech, but that seems to have been cured with the new ones (IA serial number series). It's no taller or longer than an LCP, but a little thicker and heavier. I figured it was a fair trade off for the increase in firepower, and I sold the LCP. The P9 is probably a little better than the CW9, but probably not proportionately better as compared to the increase in price. I'd probably get the all-steel K9 instead of the P9 if I was going to spend that much on the larger gun. Ol Yeller has posted that he can dovetail the slide of the CW9, replacing the pinned in plastic sight. For the money, it's hard to beat. Chopping the grip means you end up with what used to be the Covert (short grip and full slide). The PM9 replaced that model. Bottom line is that the CW9 is a great value you can't go wrong with; but if you want the smaller gun, the PM9 is worth the extra.
