Some people ride bikes, I hit the skatepark with my roller blades. I try to go daily, but work and life intereferes. Today RAIN is interfering. But between the RIGOROUS bowl carving I do, and the hour of GYM work I do daily, I've lost 72lbs in the past 12 months. I went from 287 down to 215lbs. I've always been 6 feet and 3/4 of an inch, but for some reason I grew almost an inch. I'm now at 6'1.5" posture! I take in 2000 calories, on a 2075bmr daily, deriving 200grams of protein on that budget. I'll echo what dx3 said, get a 30-40gram protein shake (I use monster milk which is loaded in the casein fats - and PreAlk creatine). Eat your damn veggies, and when you eat fruits, do so on an empty stomach, and let the fruits pass thru your stomach before eating or drinking anything else. Drink a gallon of water every day, and don't have more than one beer at night (prefereably right before dinner - helps the curb the after dinner blood sugar spike). Also get the book EAT THIS NOT THAT 2011. Follow it. Quit eating the crap that the American Food Machine is serving. Eat whole foods and only stuff you can pronounce. LOL Finally, have your doctor perform a test for your testosterone levels. At 45 they drop off drastically and make you FAT and SLOW and no amount of exercise is gonna make you skinny. At 46 I look better and am stronger than ever. I'm at 12% body fat, according to the 7 caliper pinch method performed by the head trainer at the YMCA. BUT YOU HAVE TO WANT IT, AND YOU HAVE TO LIVE IT! There is no quick fix.
