  • Obverse: Features the Round Barn, located in Arcadia, Oklahoma. Oklahoma and Round Barn are shown above the image.

  • The Round Barn, located just northeast of Oklahoma City in the town of Arcadia, is one of the only surviving round barns in the United States, and the only one to ever be built along Route 66. Built in 1898, the barn was originally intended to store livestock, but was later renovated to include a second floor for town gatherings. It was constructed by soaking freshly cut boards and bending them into shape with specially-constructed jigs. The barn, considered an architectural wonder of its time, still stands over 100 years later!
