I just finished Ben Shapiro’s book. The writings of the many philosophers are used by both sides. Interestingly though, the positive upbeat writings were and are used by the right. The doomsday and sometimes downright evil philosophers have been followed by leaders on the left. The founders followed philosophy as well as many presidents.
