H&R model 12?

Just picked up an H&R model 12, it has the Redfield Palma rear sight with the olympic front globe. Haven't shot it yet, but was wondering if anyone has experience with these, and will they compete with the high end remington, or the Kimbers?

Cool rifle. bet it's a tack driver. I have the the US property issue, bought 13 years ago from CMP. Only fired to sight it in one time.

My friend shoots one at the fellowship matches at Arcadia and wins matches with it.
