I had dinner at On the Border on NW Expressway and had excellent service. 
You know, you've reminded me ...
GC and I returned to El Chico last week ... I had my ID this time (no, I did not have my gun). Our waiter was spectacular. Didn't ask for my I.D., didn't ignore us even though he was waiting on the entire north half of the restaurant by himself, didn't complain about how over-worked and under-paid he was, didn't tell us he was "owed" a tip by simple virtue of the fact that he showed up and clocked in. In fact, the service was so good that his tip equalled our tab. Yeah, you read that right ... Our tab was $20, his tip was $20.
We will go back. And if he's not there, well ... I guess we'll just suffer through but I'll always check to make sure I can get a seat in his section if I can.
(You know, it's GC's fault I forgot to go back and update my thread. Now he's gone and made me look like a whiner ...

I've kinda been wanting to try them out ... Not GC's kinda place I don't think but everyonceinawhile I get to pick ... I see a "special occasion" in our future! LOL
If your server was a really short guy named Evan then that is my room mate, (he makes about $30+ an hour in tips on a typical day)
I dont know, the elephant bar isnt really one of the places ive ever had on my list to eat at. If you do go there and ask for him as your server and he does a bad job I can let you make sure he knows itSo, is he any good?? Should we ask for him??
