Nah, you slobber and foam at the mouth a lot before death. That would be cruel and inhumane according to the bleeding hearts.
Meanwhile you buried your victim alive with no consideration of the cruelty and inhumane punishment you put on them.

I didn't know it, but Oklahoma already has that option as well. I found it out in the fourth paragraph of the OP's linked story.
