IDPA Oil Capital Sept 11 Saturday

Oil Capital IDPA next shoots on Saturday September 11th, which is a special date; there will not be a 4th Saturday match this month. We've planned six stages, for about 100 rounds. Stages will include various features that the shooters have requested, to include a Texas Star and other challenges. Match fee is just $12 ($10 for OCR&GC members). Sign-in begins at 9 AM, with walk-through at 10.

We will shoot a Classifier at the conclusion of the main match. Match fee is $5/NC to Oil Capital members.

In October, we'll go back to our usual 4th Saturday date, which will put us on October 23rd.

Looking forward to my first match at Oil Capital, joined IDPA a month or so ago and have not had the oppertunity to shoot a IDPA classifier yet. Is an IDPA classifier similar to a USPSA classifier?

It's a set 90 round course of fire divided into three stages and 14 separate strings of fire. It is shot all at once, rather than a couple at a time within the match like USPSA is usually shot. When you finish the 90 round course, you're classified right then!

Those at the match can tell you how much fun it is to shoot "special" Texas Stars; they were a hoot. Lots of other action targets.

Remember no Oil Capital IDPA on September 25th. The next match is Saturday October 23rd.
